Introducing the NEW, more sensitive DML2000-XR. The DML2000-XR’s new XR, or eXtended Range setting, doubles the sensitivity of earlier models. Here’s what one satisfied customer had to say:
“We received the extended range locator on 1/19/2011. We have already run a test and found the range to be 3′ to 5′ further away from the oil well surface casing than any of our other units.”
Built on the same familiar favorite, the DML2000-XR is highly accurate, reliable and user-friendly. Weighing in at just under 2.0 pounds, it’s light yet built tough to operate under the most demanding field conditions. It’s economical, operating up to 50 hours on four standard AA alkaline batteries. You’ll never be concerned about dead batteries in the middle of a search operation since its built-in Low-Battery indicator warns you when the battery-life drops below 8-10 hours. The DML2000-XR is available in Standard and Metered versions.
This magnetic locator is a joy to operate with only two controls, a Sensitivity control and a combined on/off Volume control. Simply turn the unit on and adjust the volume, then set the sensitivity to a nominal setting of 2 and GO! Easily locate ferrous metals such as property markers, septic tank lid handles, manhole covers, well casings, valve boxes, cast iron pipes, steel drums, unexploded ordnance and more, up to ten feet deep.
Separate controls mean you can now turn the unit off and later resume work with the sensitivity setting unchanged. No more readjusting every time you pull it out.
It’s easy to understand what the DML2000-XR is telling you. As you walk in a search pattern, sweep the locator back and forth. The audio tone remains constant until you approach a target. The pitch increases and then peaks when the locator’s tip is directly over a target.
Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays these locators from the swift completion of their appointed task! You’ll have to forgive our humor but we want to emphasize the solid design of the DML product line. The water proof sensor housing and water-resistant electronics enclosure guarantees all-weather performance. Our innovative circuit design and component selection ensures perfect operation whether it’s -20°F or 120°F outside.
You’ll use this locator with confidence. The electronics package is made of resilient, impact resistant ABS plastic. The sensor tube and base plate are made of strong 6061-T6 aluminum. The two critical sensing elements are isolated from damage inside a separate shock-mounted support tube within the yellow external sensor tube. Adding this supplementary isolation guarantees sensor alignment and overall performance that will withstand normal physical abuse and harsh weather conditions. All electronic components have been carefully selected with long life and harsh-environment operation in mind.
Our customers tell us they love the DML2000-XR Magnetic Locator.
Dunham & Morrow’s engineers have over 35 years experience designing and building magnetic sensing equipment for NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope and Gamma Ray Observatory, NOAA’s GOES weather satellites, the US Military, and the US intelligence community. By following the same demanding design principles required of all satellite hardware, our magnetic locators are practically indestructible, and so easy to use, anyone can operate them.
Dunham & Morrow Magnetic Locators work better, last longer and cost less. Try one and we think you’ll agree they’re the ideal choice for Surveyors, Gas and Water pipeline professionals, Hydrologists, Construction Contractors, Well Drillers, virtually any professional who needs to pinpoint buried ferrous metal targets.
Built right here in the USA, our DML2000 locators are known for their performance and durability. Users relax in the knowledge that our proven shock-mounted sensor technology safeguards the sensor’s mechanical integrity in the harshest of conditions. Compare the DML2000-XR magnetic locator against our competitor’s product before you buy. You’ll find that the DLM2000’s performance, light weight, and low cost make a truly winning combination.
